The Museum of Music

The Museum of Music, opened in 2014 and situated in a Saadian house built in the 16th and 17th centuries, presents different music from Morocco.

The museum's reception apartment is a jewel of Andalusian Arab architecture in Marrakech. Several rooms in the house are allocated to temporary and permanent exhibitions.

The belvedere terrace offers an exceptional view of the Medina and the Atlas and offers a restaurant. For three years, we have been organizing at the Mouassine Museum traditional music evenings at the Mouassine Museum, which have been a great success.
We wanted to respond to a deep demand from the public and to highlight Morocco's musical vocation by creating a Music Museum in Mouassine.

The Music Museum houses the Mellakh foundation born from the meeting of the painter Abdelleh Mellakh with Patrick Manac'h and Hamid Mergani. The Mellakh family had housed this residence for two centuries.

The Music Museum also offers temporary exhibitions in the old matmura (the attic of the house).
